Dress To Impress launched their iconic winter update a week ago, and part of the new update, they introduced the new Old Item Of The Week Event.
Once a week, DTI is bringing back an old favorite item, which was removed from the game.
We had the very first item last week, and it was the heart cutout dress, and this week’s item has been revealed!
The DTI team created a special display in the wall near the dressing rooms, where a mannequin displays this week’s item.
For the past week, we’ve been able to use the Sabrina Carpenter inspired heart cutout dress, and it’s been really fun to use the dress, although gutting at the same time, as we want it to stay.
Well, this week’s item is here, and it’s the iconic Dress To Impress Granny Dress…
People are gutted that items are only coming back for one week, but after seeing the “granny” dress return, I’m sure they’ll be coming back permanently because both the heart cutout dress, and the granny dress have been completely reworked and revamped.
I cannot envisage they’d rework these items for just 7 days of use. I would take a guess, and once this event is over, they’ll be added to the map permanently – but time will tell.
The granny dress wasn’t customizable when it was launched back in the Summer 2024 update, but now we have six different toggles;
- Default (the granny dress as its main knee-length version)
- 2 (a shorter thigh-length version)
- Top (the skirt removed, and just a top)
- Top 2 (the top version with a belt added around the waist)
- Skirt (the knee-length skirt version without a top)
- Skirt 2 (the thigh-length skirt version without a top)
Thanks to the new “Material Changer” feature, the granny dress now looks gorgeous when used with the “Glitter” material on the main section of the dress.
It makes the dress look really dimensional, especially when using “Silk” on the other sections.
I wasn’t a fan of the original Granny dress. It was really frumpy, and it always went invisible around the legs when trying to layer.
However, this dress was a fan favorite for themes like Rococo, Renaissance or anything regal.
It was removed a couple of months ago, due to supposed “lag” issues, so I’d assume the lag issues have been addressed with this new and revamped version.
