Dress To Impress New Years Update 2025 Reveal

The Dress To Impress team never rest, and have today announced their upcoming newest update; the Dress To Impress New Years Update 2025.

The last big update was the Winter Update, which dropped on the 14th of December, and it included new items, a new quest, new pose packs, new patterns and a whole lot more.

Well, now we know when the latest update is coming, and oh wow it is an exciting update with a special dress that will only be available for four days…

The new code for New Year is: NY2025.

The Dress To Impress team announced the new update with a TikTok video, and announcement in their Discord Server, and is launching December 30th at 8am PST (find out the time the update launches in your own time zone right here).

This update is particularly exciting because it includes the return of the removed fan-favorite; the Madoka Set, a brand new code (NY2025), a new item (sparklers), new makeup pre-made faces, custom makeup items (new eyes, eyeshadow, nose, lips, contour), new poses and more.

So here’s a list of all the new stuff within the DTI New Year Update 2025:

• – The Magical Girl Set is back and renamed The Myra Set, and is available within the shop to purchase.
• – Use code NY2025 to receive a new hat and new balloons.
• – New limited time Sparkling Resolution Set within the shop to purchase.
• – 6 new face presets.
• – 25 custom makeup additions.
• – 1 free accessory item (sparklers)
• – Some free poses have been reworked/removed/renamed.
• – New graphic tee toggles for the Basic/Oversized T-Shirt.
• – New cheerleader top toggles for the Sleeveless Tank Top.
• – New “thick” toggle for the fishnets.

We got a new revamp to the lobby and the main map, for a new year’s eve twist.

There are big 2025 balloons above the winner’s podium, and even Lana’s nail desk has had a revamp, with a notice on her message board behind her, thanking players for 2024.

There’s a new secret item prop for new year, and it’s some sparklers, to help us celebrate the new year.

The sparklers are in the non-VIP area, on the shelves on the wall with the accessories and jewelry, and it’s on the bottom shelf, next to the neck scarf and next to the backpack.

It’s laying on its side, and when you click it, you get the option of three toggles;

• Default (one sparkler in your left hand)
• Both Hands (one sparkler in both hands)
• Extended (one sparkle rin both hands but arms are outstretched)

You can even change the color of the sparklers, to create different color light sparks – it’s SO cute.

If you enter the code NY2025 in the code box, you’ll get two free items.

One of the items is a bundle of nine balloons, with three round balloons, two star balloons, and four number balloons for 2025.

There are no toggles for the balloons, but you can change four colors of the balloons.

As well as the bundle of balloons, you also get a cone party hat with 2025 on the front.

There are two toggles for the party hat, so you can choose if it’s on the left side of your head, or the right side of your head.

The update included six new pre-made faces, with five feminine faces and one masculine face.

Here is a look at the five feminine faces, aren’t they pretty?

Then, here’s a look at all of the new custom makeup elements we can now use, with new eyes, eyebrows, lips, noses, contours and eyeshadow looks.

I absolutely love the anime eyes, they’re so pretty.

It also includes an amazing very limited time currency item.

Dress To Impress is launching a brand-new limited edition Sparkling Resolution Dress, which is a currency item, and it will only be available until January 2nd.

If you don’t purchase this dress before the 2nd of January, you won’t be able to get your hands on it again.

It’s similar to the DTI Petal Dress, which was a limited time item for only 2 hours, but this time, the Dress To Impress Sparkling Resolution Dress will be available for only four days.

Here is a look at all the incredible toggles available for the limited edition (three days only) Sparkling Resolution Dress.

The Sparkling Resolution Dress has three separate items to purchase;

• Sparkling Sleeve $1000
• Sparkling Choker Necklace $500
• Sparkling Dress $4500

There are so many toggles available for the Sparkling Resolution Dress;

• Default – the full dress with the corset top layered over the dress with chains, glitter and skirt attached, and one sleeve.
• Cutout – an asymmetrical mesh top covered in glitter, with a cutout section above the hip and one sleeve.
• Top – just the asymmetrical mesh top covered in glitter and no skirt attachment.
• Skirt – just the mini skirt with dangling mesh fabric, chains and glitter.
• Chains On/Off – removes the chains from the skirt.
• Corset On/Off – removes the corset top from the dress or top.
• Glitter On/Off – removes the glitter finish from the dress, top or skirt.

As well as the beautiful dress, the Sparkling Resolution Dress 3-piece set has an optional metal choker necklace you can purchase for $500 in-game currency.

This choker necklace does not have any toggles, but you can change the color of the necklace, and also the “D” charm on the front of the necklace.

The other item you can purchase individually, or as part of the set, is the Sparkling Sleeve for $1000.

This sleeve comes has a one arm sleeve covered in glitter and pointed on the back of the right hand.

There is just one toggle, and that’s to remove the glitter finish.

I so wish there was an option to have the sleeve on one arm or two, as I’d love to be able to have the sleeve on both arms.

When it comes to poses, we didn’t get any new pose packs within this update.

However, some of the free poses have been removed, reworked and renamed.

The free poses were just numbered, with a few exceptions, like Magica and Sleek.

Now they’ve named all the numbered poses (except the iconic Pose 28), and improved them.

I usually don’t like any of the free poses, as they were very basic, but now they’re really good.

Why Was The Madoka Set Removed From Dress To Impress?

The Madoka Set was an in-game currency outfit within Dress To Impress, which was actually called the Magical Girl Set, but everyone knew it as the Madoka Set.

It includes a large bow for the back of the head, some cute sleeves, a choker, a pair of elaborate socks and heels, a large skirt, some gloves and a very popular corset top.

It was a very popular set within the game, particularly for layering, however it had to be removed and renamed due to copyright reasons.

Well, not only has the outfit been completely redesigned and reworked to be completely original, it now has a new name too.

The Dress To Impress Madoka Set is now named the Dress To Impress Myra Set, and we were given a sneak peek of the new Myra set back in October.

Ever since this sneak peek was shared (October 25th), the team have been bombarded with questions on when the set was returning.

The New Madoka Set aka The Myra Magical Girl Set

When you click on the Myra Set within the ‘store’ section within Dress To Impress, you’ll get this pop-up screen for the Magical Girl Set, and it shows seven different squares.

If you purchased any of the old Magical Girl items, those squares will be colored to show you have the items already equipped in your dressing room inventory.

The items which are brand new, and you didn’t own from the original set, the squares are “black”, and you can click those squares.

You will then get a pop-up message asking if you want to purchase that item, and tell you the cost of the items.

Once you’ve bought all the seven items, all the squares become colored and n0-longer black.

How Much Is The New Dress To Impress Magical Girl Myra Set?

Here is a list of all the items in the new DTI Myra Set, and the in-game prices for all seven items:

• Magical Girl Hair $3000
• Magical Girl Corset $2500
• Magical Girl Gloves $1000
• Magical Girl Choker $600
• Magical Girl Puff Sleeves $700
• Magical Girl Shoes $2500
• Magical Girl Skirt $2500

So, the total for the entire Madoka Set is $12,800. It’s not a limited edition item (unlike the Resolutions Dress Bundle), so if you don’t have the full $12,800 right now, it’s OK.

I love that with this seven-piece set, you can purchase items as and when you have the in-game currency available.

You don’t have to have the full $12,800 in one go to be able to buy it, and maybe you don’t want the entire set, so you can just purchase the items you do want.

The new DTI Magical Girl set is undoubtedly, the most beautiful set in the entire game.

I can’t believe how beautiful everything is.

The first sneak peek we had, from the Dress To Impress New Years Update 2025, is this sneak peek of this new hairstyle.

Dress To Impress shared the TikTok video of the brand new Madoka Set rework coming in this update, and everyone is focussed on the outfit, but let’s take a moment to look at the hair.

In the video, we could see two super cute new hairstyles, both with layered full bangs, which frame the face.

One of the hairstyles has long straight hair (the bottom of the two pics above) and short ponytails at the top.

The other hairstyle has the layered bangs and longer ponytails, but no long straight hair, so we knew that the item was going to have toggles or was going to be two separate items.

We now know that the hair is actually an item within the Magical Girl Set, which is exciting because we’ve never had to purchase a hairstyle within the game before. They’ve always been code items or rewards (like the advent calendar).

In the same video, we could see new makeup too.

Look at the beautiful eyes, nose and brows. The lips looks like an existing lips I use all the time, but I think the eyes, brows and nose could be new – at least the eyes.

Now we know, the DTI New Years update included 6 new face presets, but also 25 custom makeup additions, and those additions include those makeup items we could see in the video.

Here’s another look at the new Myra Heels, which launched December 30th, as part of the new Magical Girl Set rework, rename and revamp.

We can see the super cute metallic straps crossing over the legs, with round-toe shoes, complete with a heart-shaped gem on the top.

There’s a bow at the top of the leg, as well as the back of the ankle, in the same metallic material, for a glossy shiny look.

We can see something completely new within the set, and that’s a set of lace wrist cuffs.

The cuffs have white frilly bands, with lilac lace layered over the top, and lilac ribbon bows on them with matching pink gems to the gems on the Myra Heels.

They are just beautiful, and I cannot wait to add them to my future outfits.

We can also see the back of the new DTI Myra Set, which gives us a glimpse of puffed sleeves with ribbons and bows.

The back of the skirt has a large lilac ribbon brow, with a pink gem in the center (just like the cuffs and the shoes), and looks so feminine and pretty.

We originally also had another sneak peek of what’s to come in the new DTI New Year update, and it’s new clothes.

We got two new top options, which work for both fem and masc bodies.

The first is a band tee style shirt design, to look like an album cover on an oversized tee, and there are multiple different designs to choose from.

Then there’s a sports tank top with DTI Angels on the front, which will work well for the cheerleader theme, football player theme, sport theme or anything casual.

I think these are exciting additions as we don’t have any clothing with designs on them yet, so this could be a sign of more decorated clothing items going forward.

The baggy tee is in the masc clothes section, and the fitted tee is in the section of fem tops, and once you equip them, you can choose which design you want on the front of them.

The next new item within the update is actually a reworked item returning.

It’s the sneakers which used to be in the masc section next to Lana’s sneakers, but they were removed back in October, with no mention why.

It looks like they were perhaps removed due to lag, as they’re now back, and better than ever.

There’s now a toggle, which wasn’t there before, and you can remove the star from the side of them, and they’re now located in the main shoes section.

These are my favorite sneakers in the game, so I’m really happy they’ve returned.

Another surprise item within the DTI New Years update is an update to the new fishnets.

These only launched on December 14th in the winter update, and now they’ve already had an exciting update.

They have yet another new toggle, we can have them as the usual design, or we can toggle “thick” for the fishnets to have thicker fishnet designs.

On some lower end devices, the fishnets looked like spotted tights, so this “thick” toggle should make them appear more like fishnet tights for all devices.

Are We Getting New Ranks In The Dress To Impress New Years Update?

I already did a post all about the upcoming new DTI ranks launching soon, but during the YouTube Q&A between Umoyae and BeaPlays, Umoyae was asked: “will there be any new ranks coming?” (like the confirmed Supernova rank).

This question was regarding the Christmas/Winter update on December 14th.

Umoyae answered with this:

“Yes as so many have played from the start, and are at top model. There are new ranks coming but not in this update, hopefully the next update we launch. There will be ranks after top model, so higher stars than the top model rank.“

So, there is no solid confirmation that the new ranks will be launching on December 30th in the New Year’s Update, but the mention of “hopefully the next update” – would mean the New Year’s update, so we’ll have to cross our fingers to see if it is “the next update.

Unfortunately, we didn’t get any new ranks within this update.

Although that is disappointing, it also suggests that maybe we’ll get them in the next update, which I guess will be January, once the winter update leaves.

So, at least it’s something to look forward to.
