Dress To Impress REMOVED 54 Patterns In The Valentine’s Update

We saw so many new items and changes to Dress To Impress this past weekend, thanks to the new Valentine’s Day update.

Whilst we got lots of new things added, like new items, accessories, hair, makeup, themes, lobby, runway, quest and more, we also lost a massive amount of patterns.

Dress To Impress launched back in October 2023, and the DTI team are always making changes to improve the game, reduce lag and enhance the gaming experience.

We frequently see DTI rework items, and they tend to remove the items from the game entirely, whilst they’re being reworked, which tends to upset players, especially if it’s items from VIP or they’re currency items.

Patterns are such an integral part of the game, and they can make such a difference to an outfit, to give dimension, rather than using just solid colors.

We have seen the DTI team remove patterns in the past before, but this weekend, we’ve seen a crazy amount of patterns removed, and players are really not happy about it.

DTI launched a brand new feature with the Valentine’s update, and that was the ability to purchase the Valentine’s Day pattern pack. We’ve never seen DTI charge for patterns before.

In total, Dress To Impress has deleted 54 different patterns from the game, and players are gutted.

Wow. That’s a lot of patterns that have been removed.

StudioZac replied to someone moaning on Twitter about the pattern removal with:

”We are in the process of remaking the removed patterns!

Those were in the early stages of our game and were used off of Google.”

So, there’s hope that the patterns will return in the future, but in this update, we saw a lot of patterns reworked, and some of them are no way near as nice as they used to be (like the spiderweb pattern and the harlequin pattern).

Its such a shame that so many of the best patterns in the game have now been removed, but if the old patterns were just images posted from Google, it makes sense, as they will want to avoid potential copyright infringement issues.

As a player, I am gutted, as I used to have the max number of patterns you’re allowed to favorite, and now, after the update, I only have 3 patterns favourites, so 17 of my favorite patterns are now gone.

I don’t like any of the reworked patterns either. They all look so blurry and fuzzy, when they used to be so sharp and clear before. The denim patterns, in particular, are awful now.

It’s a real shame, and hopefully DTI will listen to player feedback, and make some improvements.
