The exciting Dress To Impress Valentine’s Day Update is finally here, and there’s a lot of new stuff to be excited about, with it being the biggest update since the Halloween update back in October.
I always look forward to seeing the new items of clothing and accessories, as it makes it so much fun to play rounds of Dress To Impress.
I’m going to talk you through every single new item in the Dress To Impress Valentine’s update, including showing you every single toggle, so you can see every item in the different variations. So, keep on reading to find out more…
For the Valentine’s Day update, we got one new pose pack, 20 new patterns, new hairstyles, new makeup, two new code items, new lobby, new runway, new gameplay mode (which will be in the second part of the update), new two chapter love-themed quest, new clothes and new accessories, and over 200 new themes – wow.
I am going to show you both the new clothes and accessories in VIP and also the non-VIP newness too. Let’s get onto the new stuff, and all the amazing toggles!
Let’s look at all the new items within this new DTI Valentines update…
Kicking things off, the very first item isn’t at all related to Valentine’s Day, but it’s cute, nonetheless, and it’s a skateboard prop.
There are three toggles; hand (holding the skateboard with one hand), shoulder (holding the board behind your shoulder) and skate (standing/riding on the skateboard);
There are six sections to color; the top of the skateboard, the base of the board, the graffiti on the board, the outline of the graffiti, the wheels and the metal attached to the wheels.
Next, is a pair of ruffled shorts. There was an image of a pair of ruffles bloomer shorts going around on social media, which were an item that didn’t make its way into the game, and many players were gutted.
So, I feel like this is their version of those shorts, and they’re cute little shorts, with layers of ruffles, and ruffles around the edges.
There are no toggles available, and you can only color the overall color of the shorts.
We then have an item which is a return to the game, and it’s the granny dress.
We did the granny dress return for one week, as part of the old item of the week feature, but now it’s back.
If you’d like to see all the granny dress toggles, I have a whole post dedicated to the dress right here.
The next item is another dress, and it’s a cute mini dress, which by default is white and hot pink.
It has a strapless top, a thin waistband, and a ruffled underskirt.
There are two toggles, which changes the types of ruffles for the underskirt, with toggle 1 being bigger puffier ruffles, and toggle 2 is smaller ruffles.
We next have a pair of forearm cuffs, with no fingers, and three belt buckles near the elbow.
There are no toggles for this item, but you can change the color/material of the sleeve, the belts, and also the buckles.
The next item is another return item, and it’s the much-loved butterfly top.
This was another item which came back to the game for a short stint, as part of the old item of the week feature, but now it’s back.
We have two toggles – the new version of the top, and the original version of the top, so you can choose which you prefer.
Next, is the new ruffle skirt, which has a heart shaped buckle on the waistband, then three layers of ruffles.
It’s a little bit like a more modern tutu, with fewer ruffles, and there are two toggles, allowing you to choose how high the skirt sits on the hips.
Then we have a brand-new dress, and this is one of my favorite new items in the game.
It’s a pretty, tight-fitting mini dress, with layers of ruffles at the bottom, plus there’s a ribbon bow overlay on the top of the top section.
There are three toggles, default (the dress as standard), no ribbon (removes the ribbon bow from the top) and only ribbon (allows you to wear the ribbon without the dress underneath).
There’s a brand-new necklace, and it’s a three layered gold neck cuff necklace.
No toggles available on this one, but it’s a versatile piece, which would work for any theme.
To go with the neck cuff, there are a new pair of gold earrings, and they’re drop earrings, with hoops through the ear, and a conical design that hangs from the hoop – with no toggles available.
To finish off the gold jewelry set, we also have a set of gold arm jewelry.
You get three bangles around the wrist in varying sizes, and a stack of upper arm cuffs, but there’s no toggle, so you can’t switch off the upper/lower arm section.
Next, is a bonnet hat, which will be perfect for nursery rhyme themes.
The only downside, is that there are no toggles, so you can’t choose how low/high it sits on the head, and no matter the hair you wear, it clips through the bonnet and doesn’t look great.
I wish, like the other hats, we could have it sit higher to allow for wearing hair, as nobody will want to wear it without wearing hair underneath, so it’s my least favorite item in the update.
We then have a face bandages set with a crazy amount of toggles – I’ve never seen so many toggles on one item before.
There are 11 different toggles, for the different placements of the bandages, and you can choose multiple placements/toggles in one.
The final item from the old item of the week feature is back for good, and it’s the heart cutout dress.
If you want to know more about this dress, I did a whole post about it right here.
A totally random item next, and it’s a trophy.
It’s a gold trophy cup that sits on a black base, and you can use two toggles to choose placement; in front of you, or above your head.
I think it’ll work for award night themes, but it’s not the most versatile prop we’ve ever seen.
The next item is actually a rework of an old item, and one we didn’t get told about before the update.
This is a rework of the pink zip-up top with the little bow, which used to have sleeves you could equip separately – and it’s adorable.
Well, now the sleeves are actually a standalone item in the accessory section, and this is now an all-in-one top, but there’s no now toggles.
We also got a baseball bat, which is hecking random, but we now have one.
We have three toggles, one with the bat on your shoulder with one hand, one with the bat in both hands ready to bat, and a third puts paint on the bat – which will be perfect for Harley Quinn cosplays.
VIP New Items In The Dress To Impress Valentines Update
The first VIP item, is attached to a mannequin with multiple items, but this is the undershirt.
It’s a a cute, white blouse with a cutout down the center, with a brown leather neck strap.
There are two toggles, allowing you to wear the blouse with with neck strap, or wear the strap alone without the blouse.
On the same mannequin as the blouse, is this cropped suede jacket, which comes with four toggles.
The jacket has flared sleeves, and lace-up detailing all the way up the sleeves, and a lace design across the chest.
For toggles, you can remove the fur around the collar, remove the lacing and remove the lacing on the chest, or remove all three.
The last item on that mannequin, is the matching pants, to match the jacket.
They’re an amazing pair of flared pants, with lace-up detailing in the front, and belt strapping around the hips, and straps around the knees.
We have two toggles, which changes how long the trousers sit, covering the ankles or not.
On the mannequin in front, we have another whole outfit, and first we have this lace-up corset.
This corset has a patterned bodice, with a satin undershirt and cute satin edging with bow details, and there’s just one toggle, that allows you to remove the bows.
I think this corset will be perfect for steampunk themes!
On this mannequin, there’s a set of matching arm cuffs/sleeves, and they match the corset, but there are no toggles available.
Next item in this set is this beautiful matching skirt (which is one of my favorite items from the whole update).
It’s a cute, ruched mini skirt with two big bows on the hips.
You have three toggles – the skirt as default, the skirt without the bows, and the bows without the skirt. I LOVE that we can use the bows alone!
The last piece of this set is this amazing ribbon, which wraps from the ankle upto the thigh on one leg, and upto the knee on the other leg, with little bows around the ankle, and the knee.
There’s one toggle, which switches the bows on/off, and I love these ribbons so much.
An item that was previewed before the update, was this lyre.
It doesn’t have any toggles, but when you equip it, one hand holds the lyre, and the other hand plays the strings, which is so cute.
By default, it is white, which is strange because it was pink in the preview pics, but you can change it to color #ff618c, and it’ll match the promo pics.
Another item we got a look at, before the update, was this bow and arrow prop.
It’s a beautiful item, with amazing attention to detail, with it sparkling little hearts when you hold it.
We have three toggles, default is pointing it to the floor, and shooting it right or shooting it left.
We have a three-piece accessory set, for the more alternative themes, starting with a choker necklace.
It’s a black choker necklace, with silver metal spikes all the way around, a heart in the center, and hanging chain details, and no toggles.
To match the choker, there’s matching wrist cuffs, with the exact same design.
They are so cool, and edgy. We have nothing like this in the game, apart from that studded choker with the heart, but these two are amazing.
To go with the alternative vibe, there’s these amazing earrings, which are actually really hard to see on the mannequin as the color blends into the mannequin.
When you equip them, you get a lobe piercing and a helix piercing, with a dangling star earring, and a star on the helix piercing.
Then, there’s an industrial piercing too. It’s such an amazing alternative piercing stack, and will be perfect for themes like grunge, emo, traditional goth etc.
On the top shelf of the display, there’s this most beautiful and romantic duo set, with the first item being these floral sleeves.
They’re mesh sleeves, with delicate flowers around the upper arm.
It’s hard to see the mesh on the skintone I chose for this photo, but if you change the color of the mesh, it becomes more noticeable.
We don’t have any toggles on these sleeves, but I absolutely adore them, and you can alter the color of the flowers and mesh, but no toggles.
To match the floral mesh sleeves, is this absolutely stunning corset.
This is the prettiest corset we’ve ever seen in the game, but it doesn’t have any toggles.
It’s a light peach silk by default, with a subtle lace pattern over the top, and lots of tiny metallic flowers all over the corset.
I can’t get over how pretty it look, and even has little bows on the hips. I love it so much!
There’s one entire outfit for masculine bodies, and this first item is a laced, open shirt, with a waistband section, with hanging chains.
There are three toggles, the default, without chains, and without the lace on the opening.
To match the shirt, there’s a pair of pants, with open slits around the ankles, showing a glimpse of red, and a low-hanging belt around the waist, which you can remove with the toggle.
The mannequin is also wearing this choker necklace, which is usable for both masc and fem bodies.
It’s a black choker, with a red jewel at the front, surrounded by gunmetal colored metal.
The last item on this male mannequin, is a pair of black dress shoes. Whilst the shirt and pants are for masculine bodies only, both masc and fem bodies can wear the shoes.
They’re a shiny patent leather effect, and while there are no toggles, there is a cute heart on the back that I wanted to show you, and they have red soles too, by default.
Next to the male mannequin, there’s this cute red and black minidress, with a heart on the front, a sleeve on just one arm, lace up cage detail on the hips and thin spaghetti straps.
We have three toggles, the default dress, removing the straps, and removing the cake from the hips. It’s such a cute dress!
To finish this outfit, there’s also a black cane, with a red diamond on the top.
We can use it pointing towards the floor, or hold it behind our shoulders, like we can with the axe.
I think this prop will be good for cosplay themes, or royalty themes.
VIP got one new handbag, it’s kinda unique.
It’s a heart shaped purse, and the strap has hand shapes at each end, which “hold” the heart.
It’s kinda creepy, in the best way, and you can hold it three ways: in front of the body, on the crook of your arm, or on your shoulder.
New Items Added To Dress To Impress Main Map During The Valentines Update
We got a few new items added to the map, which aren’t part of the Valentine’s displays, with the first being this silk bonnet hat.
It was previewed before the update, and there aren’t any toggles, but you can color it just one color all over.
One of the old favorite items has been reworked, and I hate it (sorry DTI).
It’s the old heart vest top, which was so cute, and it’s been reworked to be unnecessarily low-cut. Why is so much of the model’s chest on show with the rework?
I’m not a prude, but this was such an unneeded change, and it’s no way near as cute as it used to be with the little lace trim.
In VIP, there’s a rework on the old white corset which used to be on the mannequin with the angel wings and the veil.
The wings and veil are not changed, but this dress is changed, and they’ve removed the little bows completely?
It’s completely different from the original corset, with a white, frilly satin dress, with a pink cardigan layered over the top with heart-shaped buttons, and a pink lace-up detail across the shoulders.
There are four toggles: default, removing the lace-up across the chest, removing the cardigan and wearing just the frilly skirt.
In the hat section of non-VIP, there’s a new bandana item, with four toggles.
You can have the patterned bandana by default, add a tied section to one side of the patterned bandana, have a plain bandana tied by default, and a tied section to one side of the plain bandana.
The baseball cap has been reworked, and had the stars removed. You can now choose to wear it with the brim facing forwards, or wear the cap backwards.
It now can wear patterns properly, when before, patterns just ended up blurred and stretched across the whole hat.
Here is one of the code items from the update, and when you enter the code CUPIDSCLOUD (before March 1st), you get this cute ride-on cloud.
You don’t get any toggles, but you can change the color of the cloud, the hoop, the ribbon, and the roses/leaves around the cloud and hoop.
Here is the second code item with code ELLA.
This is Ella Caroline’s code item, and it is a frilly pink mini-skirt, with bows on the hips.
We have three toggles, the default, a longer asymmetrical version of the skirt, and the skirt without the bows.
When you complete the Valentine’s Quest, you get two prizes this time, with a blouse and a skirt.
This is the blouse of the prize, and we all thought we were getting a dress, but it’s not a dress – it’s a two-piece.
This blouse has four toggles, the default, the bust section, the ribbon around the shoulders and the necklace jewels.
You can choose multiple toggles with this item too, which is a new feature.
Then, this is the matching skirt to go with the top, once you complete the Valentine’s Quest.
This skirt has three toggles, the default, a pencil skirt version without hanging ribbons, or the hanging ribbons alone.
We got one currency outfit, and it’s called the Dress To Impress Everlasting Love Set (which costs a total of $4800 of in-game currency), with four items:
- Everlasting Love Crown $1500
- Everlasting Love Dress $2000
- Everlasting Love Shoes $1000
- Everlasting Love Necklace $300
Here is the necklace from the set, and it’s a layered pearl necklace, with a heart shaped pendant, but no toggles.
Here is the Dress To Impress Everlasting Love Set Crown, which is a cute little crown that sits on one side of the head.
We don’t have any toggles, but we can change the color of the crown’s cushion, the metal, the feathers at the base, the base of the crown, and the glitter on the metal.
Here are the Dress To Impress Everlasting Love Set Shoes, which gives you a set of thigh-high stockings, and high-heeled shoes with ribbons around the ankles.
There are only two toggles; the default, and the garters of the stockings individually without the tights and heels.
I can’t believe there isn’t a toggle to have the heels individually – I am gutted. I think it’s crazy we can’t wear the heels without the tights and garters.
The shoes are hot pink, with silver glitter on the toe, with pink ribbon wrapped around the ankle, white tights, and pink metallic garters around the top, with a heart shaped charm on one of the garters.
There’s even pearls around the top of the garters, and you can wear the garters alone without the tights or shoes.
The last piece in the Dress To Impress Everlasting Love Set, is the Dress, and it’s my favorite part!
You get four toggles; default, a bodysuit without the skirt, the sheer skirt, just the sleeves.
We can also choose to remove the sleeves with the dress, the skirt or the bodysuit.
This set is one of my favorite currency sets we’ve ever had, it’s just gorgeous, and well worth the currency (in my opinion).
As well as the currency items, we got a brand new Robux set, which is the first time in 7 big updates.
It’s the Queen Of Hearts Set, which is $399 Robux, and gives you two items (I’m not sure where the boots are from the set – maybe we’ll get those next weekend).
You get this corset, which is so detailed and beautiful!
It’s a PVC corset, with flame-like detailing around the collar, and the edges, and a black lace underlayer, with gold lace-up along the front.
There are four toggles for the top, the default, a closed version without the lacing, a cropped version, and a cropped closed version which is like a crop top.
You can also remove the lace underlayer too if you want to.
The pants in the set are amazing too, with flared legs, lace-up panels on the thighs, a gold chain detail along the front, and a little lace-up panel on the waist.
There are no toggles at all for the pants, so this is the only way you can wear them, but you can change the color of the main (black) section, the chains and outline, the ruffles, and the the lacing on the thighs.
With this new update, DTI introduced rewards for every tier of their ranks (and some new ranks), and I have a couple of new ones to show you.
This is the DTI Top Model reward, and it’s a beautiful, long elegant robe, which by default is a sheer robe, with fur lining the edges, and flared sleeves, with a bow around the waist.
It’s just beautiful, and comes with two toggles; sheer and opaque, and an option to have the waistband as a bow or a ribbon.
This is the DTI Runway Diva reward, and I can’t believe how pretty it is.
It’s an elaborate starburst crown / headdress, with jewels, pearls and hanging gems.
It’s one of the most beautiful items I’ve ever seen in the game, and there’s a toggle for VFX (which we’ve never seen before), and when clicked, it creates sparkles, graphics and glowing lights from the gems.
I’m so happy they’ve introduced new rewards for the new roles, and we have to wait for the rewards for the other roles, but maybe next week we’ll get those!
