Have you been wondering how to paint your toenails in dress to impress? Lana is the iconic nail tech within the DTI game, however, thanks to the deep Lana lore, she was replaced by “Lina”, who, after the Halloween quests, was revealed to be evil, and working on behalf of Agamemnon.
If you managed to complete all three chapters of the Halloween quest (which has now finished, if you haven’t), Lina was replaced by the original Lana.
After the Halloween update, the nail tech desk offered so many new nail customization options.
Originally, Lana gave us the option of two nail lengths; the usual length which she would do when you’re seated at her nail desk (by pressing E).
there was a Baddie Nails option, which you could equip by clicking the bottom right-hand corner of the noticeboard directly behind Lana.
Once you’d chosen the length of your nails (from the two choices), you could then choose a solid color for them from the color palette pop-up screen.
However, we have lots of amazing nail options to choose from.
When you sit at Lana (or Lina’s) desk now, we get to choose from 11 different lengths and shapes. From short almond shaped nails to excessively long baddie claws.
Once you’ve chosen your length, you can then choose which color you want for your nails.
However, now we can choose from solid colors from color palette/wheel, or we can choose from one of the patterns.
To be fair, you can’t see the intricacy of the patterns, but the color will be a dead-on match for the patterns you’ve utilized within your outfit.
How To Paint Your Toenails In Dress To Impress
When you choose the nail length and color (or pattern) for your fingernails, it will automatically color your toenails in the same shade as your fingernails.
So, if you chose black as your fingernail color, Lana will automatically color your toenails so they match… well, sometimes.
There’s an annoying glitch within Dress To Impress, where sometimes Lana (or Lina) will paint your fingernails, but your toenails will remain the default color, which is #faad80.
The default nail color is a cream color, which is definitely an improvement on the old default color, which was a bright red.
If you’ve chosen your fingernail color from the color wheel or color picker, and you find that your toenails won’t change color, and stay the annoying cream color (#faad80), there is an easy hack to override this glitch.
If your toenails don’t change to the color you’ve selected, click on any of the patterns (it doesn’t matter which), and it’ll turn both your fingernails and toenails to that pattern.
You can then select the solid color you want from the color wheel or color picker, and both your fingernails and toenails will change to the color you actually want.
I don’t know why it fixes the glitch, but it works every time. So, if you struggle with being able to change your toenails within a round or freeplay, give this fix a try, and see if it’ll work for you too.
