What Are We Getting In Part 2 Of The Dress To Impress Valentine’s Update?

The Dress To Impress Valentine’s Update was such a big update, the developers decided to split it into two updates, spread across two weekends.

We’ve never had this happen before, but the developers decided it was necessary, as there was just too much content and new stuff, that it would be overwhelming if we only had it on the one day (February 8th).

Part two of the DTI Valentine’s Day update is coming this coming Saturday, but what are we getting in part two of the Dress To Impress Valentine’s Update?

The DTI Valentine’s Update was the biggest update DTI had launched since their Halloween update. It included all the following things:

• New Lobby
• New Dressing Room
• New Valentines Runway
• New Valentines Quest
• Unlock “Cupids Prodigy” set from completing the quest!
• New ‘Everlasting Love’ Currency Set
• New ‘Queen of Hearts’ Robux Set
• 4 New Ranks & Rank Rewards!
• Granny Dress, Butterfly Top & Heart Dress are back in the game, for good.
• 12 New Hairs
• New Facial Hair
• You can now equip default ears.
• 25 New Faces
• 49 Custom Makeup Additions
• New Valentines Pose Pack
• Alune’s Makeup Pack

This really was a lot of new stuff all at once, and the brand new game mode; Style Showdown, was meant to launch too, but it was pushed back until February 15th.

It does suck that Valentines is on the 14th, and we have to wait until the 15th to get the rest of this update, but it’s better late than never, eh?

So, let’s take a look at what items / new things might drop during the second part of the Valentine’s update…

New Sabrina Carpenter Dress

Now, is this Zac’s code item or a different item altogether? We know for sure we are getting this gorgeous dress in the second part of the update, but unsure if it’s a code item yet.

Reversal Of The Brat & Christmas Chests

Umoyae announced, that due to feedback, the Brat chest and the Christmas chest items will all be going back into the dressing rooms.

People were complaining about having to go to a chest every time they need one item, so now these items will return to the dressing room this weekend, but the chests will stay.

This will give you the option to choose items from the chest, or choose items from the dressing rooms – it’s nice to have both options.

Time Extension

BeaPlays announced that from the update (part two), the round time is now going to be extended to six minutes, so we’re going to get more time in each round, due to how big the map now is.

Many players complained that the map was too big, and they struggled to get outfits finished during the time allocated, but we will all get six minutes per round, going forward, and it’ll be seven minutes for those that purchase an extra time prop.

Limited Time Code For 24 Hours

One of the codes we are getting, is for a very limited time, and will be available for only 24 hours.

Dress To Impress Valentines Update Sweetheart Dress will be the item you redeem with the code, and it looks like there’s a dress for fem bodies, and a shirt and pants for masc bodies.

This is a rework on an old dress, which was a code, and that code was discontinued due to copyright reasons.

This dress used to be yours when entering the code “SWEETHEART”, and was inspired by Melanie Martinez, but DTI has reworked the dress, and it’s likely you’ll be able to get the dress with the code SWEETHEART once more.

BUT, this code is only going to be live for 24 hours.

Style Showdown

*EDIT: DTI have announced that Style Showdown is being postponed until March 1st because it is still isn’t ready…*

OK, the biggest new thing in the second part of the update, is the launch of the brand new gameplay mode, called Style Showdown.

This is going to be a brand new way of playing Dress To Impress, which is inspired by RuPaul’s Drag Race, as a fashion competition, rather than a runway show with the original version of Dress To Impress.

The Style Showdown is going to be very exciting, as it’s something we’ve never done before within the game, as there are multiple rounds to play too.

I think the reason we got the Alune’s Makeup Pack, which was an in-game currency makeup bundle, was for the drag inspired fashion gameplay mode, as the eyeshadow looks are very bold and drag-like.

Heart Heels

We have been told that we are getting “items” during the second part of the Valentine’s Update, and we know one item for sure.

To announce the update’s launch (well, part one) on Saturday, the DTI Instagram account posted a video here, and in the video we can see the model wearing some adorable Barbie inspired heels in pink, with gold hearts on the front.

They are such beautiful heels, with a sling back design, and a contoured high heel. They really do like look shoes you’d see on a Barbie doll, and I love them.

StudioZac’s Code

I did a post on StudioZac’s code (right here), and Zac revealed in the Discord, that he was getting his own code, which would give you two items, and those two items included a clothing item, and an accessory item.

After a lot of questions, it was revealed to be inspired by Sabrina Carpenter, but his code never happened during part one of the DTI Valentine’s Update, so it would make sense that the code will be dropping in Part 2 Of The Dress To Impress Valentine’s Update.

Zac shared the tiny blurry pic in the top of this pink photo as a joke preview, but members of the Discord denounced that the item could possibly be this Sabrina Carpenter dress, but we won’t know for sure until the code drops, but I’m excited that Zac is finally getting a code.

Duo Poses

The duo poses have been previewed since October, and we were promised they were coming in the Valentine’s Update, but alas, they never happened.

So, you’d think that they would be the ones to drop in the second part of the update, as the first update gave us the Valentine’s Pose Pack.

We’ve seen at least four duo poses, and I think that maybe they’ll come in a duo pose pack, rather than just be added to the Duo tab within the poses menu.

Rank Rewards

In part one of the Valentine’s Update, we got four brand new ranks (Glamour Elite, Fashion Mogul, Supernova and Fashion Goddess) which is exciting, but what is more exciting, is that every single rank will now be getting a rank reward.

When you hover on the top of the ranks, a little pop-up box appears to say “coming soon”, so we know there’s going to be rank prize for every tier of the ranks, but right now, there’s only a prize for Runway Queen (handbag), Trend Setter (dress), Runway Queen (crown), Top Model (robe) and Supernova (floral crown).

We don’t know when the “coming soon” applies to, time wise, but maybe they’ll arrive in the second part of the update, and that’ll mean nine ranks will receive a reward prize, and I can’t wait to see what those prizes will be.

More Themes

We knew we were getting over 200 new themes within this update, after they removed 30 themes, and only 102 launched in the first half of the update.

Zac confirmed that the other 100 themes will launch in the second part of the update, so that’s very exciting.

Reworked Mary Jane Shoes

Dress To Impress announced that these shoes were coming in the update, and they appear to be a rework of the existing Mary Jane Shoes, but they didn’t show up in the update.

So, they must be launching as part of the second Valentine’s Day update.

The new version have a shorter heel, and a cleated sole with textured socks. I hope they’ll have a toggle, so we can choose between the old version and the new version, like there is on the Butterfly Top.

Maybe More Codes

We don’t know for sure, but there’s always a chance of brand new codes, whenever DTI launch a new update.

We should hopefully be getting Zac’s code, and fingers crossed we’ll get another code, to make the second part of the update more exciting!

Extra Recording Studios Booth

If you’ve gone outside in freeplay, they have the recording studio set-up again, with a couple of extra sets, but there is one black recording studio booth without anything, so maybe that will be added during the second update?

It doesn’t make sense to just leave it empty, so fingers crossed they’ll add an extra booth within the update.
